W Chorzowie, bezdomne psy, wykonały pracę WSSE/PIS/ŚPWIS/GIS. Rzecznik prasowy GIS powiedział, że winny tej sytuacji jest stan prawny w Polsce, gdzie brak jest szczegółowych regulacji prawnych. Dodał, że zapis w obowiązkach obejmujący nadzór nad postępowaniem ze zwłokami i szczątkami ludzkimi w zakresie ochrony zdrowia ludzkiego, nie jest adekwatny ponieważ nie ma w nim określonego typu samochodu w jakim szczątki są przewożone. Psy są podejrzewane o kreowanie bezrobocia.
Pomimo tych wyjaśnień, Urząd Skarbowy rozpoczął kontrolę mającą na celu sprawdzenie czy dochody pracowników WSSE w bieżącym miesiącu nie zostały uzyskane bezprawnie. Zgodnie ze swoim zakresem obowiązków PIP sprawdza, czy psy nie wykonały swojej pracy bez wymaganych uprawnień. Rzecznik PIP upatruje przyczyn tej sytuacji w istnieniu umów śmieciowych oraz w samowoli bezdomnych w zakresie podejmowania pracy."*
